NOMINATE A REMARKABLE ACT OF SPORTSMANSHIP TO BE HONORED AT THE MUSIAL AWARDS!

The St. Louis Sports Commission and the National Sportsmanship Foundation are on the lookout for extraordinary moments of selflessness, kindness, integrity and civility in sports.  If you know of a remarkable act of sportsmanship that should be honored at the Musial Awards, let us know by completing the fields below.

Criteria to keep in mind:

  • We strive to honor acts of sportsmanship that transcend the ordinary. These are instances when people surpass expectations for how they should treat others – especially opponents and officials – or handle a given situation.  We want to highlight moments when individuals have the character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.
  • The qualities of sportsmanship we seek to spotlight include class, honesty, integrity, selflessness, kindness, generosity, compassion, empathy, respect, perseverance, humility, and civility.
  • The Musial Awards recognize both on-field and off-the-field sportsmanship – as long as there is a clear connection to sports. Recipients have included fans, sportscasters and cheerleaders; not just athletes and coaches.
  • Nominees can be from any level – youth, high school, college, pro, senior or recreational.

  • Please describe the act of sportsmanship committed and why the nominated individual(s) should be honored at the Musial Awards.
