LOCAL ENCORE PRESENTATION AIRS SUNDAY AT 8 P.M. ON KSDK 5 ON YOUR SIDE

LOUIS – Jan. 23, 2026 – The 2025 Musial Awards airing nationally on CBS on Dec. 28 was seen by an average of 2.1 million viewers, according to leading media measurement company Nielsen. That is the highest Nielsen-measured number the event has generated in its seven years on the network. Taking place at Stifel Theatre in Downtown St. Louis in November, the Musial Awards presented by Maryville University was packaged into a one-hour broadcast on the CBS Television Network and streamed on Paramount+.

There will be one more opportunity for viewers in St. Louis to see the Musial Awards, as the show will air this Sunday (Jan. 25) at 8 p.m. CT on KSDK Channel 5.

The Musial Awards annually inspire the nation with stories of sportsmanship, selflessness, and kindness in sports.  The 2025 edition was headlined by Olympic Champion and figure skating icon Kristi Yamaguchi accepting the Stan Musial Lifetime Achievement Award for Sportsmanship.  Other award recipients include the first woman to umpire in an MLB game, Jen Pawol, who received the Musial Award for Extraordinary Character and Rutgers basketball player Darren Buchanan, Jr.  Full interviews and a synopsis of all 2025 Musial Awards honorees can be found at MusialAwards.com/Honorees.

In partnership with the St. Louis Sports Commission and the National Sportsmanship Foundation, the Musial Awards broadcast is produced by Al Roker Entertainment, the production arm of 14-time Emmy Award-winning TV personality Al Roker. The show is hosted by veteran St. Louis TV anchor Mike Bush, who has emceed the Musial Awards for all 20 years of its existence.
